Steady Deen has no account, so your entries live on your iPhone and you control them. You can export a copy or delete everything, anytime.
Where to find it
In Steady Deen, tap Settings at the top of the screen and open Data management. Both options are there.
Export your entries
- Tap Export. You’ll see a preview of what will be exported.
- Tap “Share or save the file” and choose where it goes, for example the Files app.
The export is a Markdown text file (.md) with your preferences, focuses, practice and reading entries, notes, breaks, saved readings, program progress, dhikr counter and the city chosen for qibla. It’s plain text and not encrypted, so be careful where you save it and who you share it with. An exported file can’t be imported back into the app.
Delete all personal entries
Tap “Delete all personal entries” and confirm with “Delete all”. This deletes your focuses, practice and reading records, notes and drafts, breaks, saved readings, program progress, dhikr counter, the city chosen for qibla, your preferences and your reminder setting. If you took part in the pilot study, its counts are deleted too. The app returns to its initial state.
This can’t be undone. Export first if you want to keep a copy.
What deleting doesn’t remove
- Your subscription. Deleting your data doesn’t cancel Steady Deen Plus; see how to cancel.
- Files you exported earlier. Delete them wherever you saved them.
- Device backups. Your iCloud or computer backups are managed by you and Apple, and we can’t reach them.
- Emails you sent us. Ask at privacy@steadydeen.com and we’ll delete them.
- Purchase records. For records at RevenueCat, write to privacy@steadydeen.com. Apple keeps its own purchase records under its own policy.
Deleting the app
There’s no account, so there’s nothing else to close. Deleting Steady Deen from your iPhone also removes its entries from the device, and we can’t bring them back.
